To be qualified as a Mensa member, you have to score in the 98th percentile or higher on a standardized intelligence test such as the Stanford-Binet test or the Cattell Culture Fair test (CFIT). What this means is that the Mensa IQ score range varies depending on the type of IQ test being used. Mensa admits individuals who score in the top 2% of the population, and they accept many different tests, as long as they have been standardised and normed, and approved by professional psychologists’ associations. Two of the most well-known IQ tests are 'Stanford-Binet' and 'Cattell' (explained in more detail below).
